Beginner Open Water Diver Certification on a Scuba Schools Trip (Complete Phase One  at any of our West Coast facilities & Phase Two on a Scuba Schools Trip) Want to go on a fantastic vacation? Want to get certified to Scuba dive? Start your training at home using PADI's multimedia home-study materials, complete the pool training at any of our West coast facilities (San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle/Tacoma), or your local PADI dive center, then complete the 4 Open Water training dives with our professional staff on one of our warm water trips! No hassles of trying to locate an instructor who speaks good English, no questionable dive training practices, professional, US trained, expert English speaking instructors who take dive training seriously and will make sure you have the skills you need to dive safely - for the rest of this trip and a lifetime of diving!   Our PADI Open Water Diver Course is the entry level program through which most people begin the adventure of diving. The course begins with an interesting DVD Multi-Media Home Study program.  You should plan to spend 15 to 20 hours on the home studies. Upon completion of the home studies you will be ready to participate in the swimming pool practice where you will learn about the skills and equipment necessary for safe, enjoyable diving. The pool training will take one evening.  We offer pool training sessions in Pacifica & San Jose.   Once the pool training is completed you will progress to two days of diving with us on one of our Dive Travel Adventures.  Upon successful completion of those two days of diving you will become certified as a a PADI Open Water Diver and be ready to enjoy the dives planned for the rest of the trip as a certified diver!   Two or more divers, registering together receive 10% discount off the tuition portion of the program. Five or more divers registering together receive 15% discount off the tuition portion of the program. Military, Law Enforcement and Fire Protection personnel registering together receive 15% discount off the tuition portion of the program.

Adventure Dives/Advanced Open Water Class on a Scuba Schools Dive Travel Adventure (Complete the studies at home, the ocean training with one of our Scuba Schools instructors on a trip scheduled by the Scuba Schools ) The next step for Open Water divers! The Adventure Dives/Advanced Open Water Diver Course is an experience oriented program course designed to give you practical experience in a number of specialty diving areas. Unlike the Open Water Course, the Advanced Course involves little written testing and very little academic preparation. You will begin by reading the requisite academic materials at home on your own time.  The material will then be reviewed with your instructor prior to your water training sessions. The objective of the course is to give you as much in water time as possible in which to perfect your diving skills.  Dive Requirements; Advanced certification requires a minimum of five "Adventure Dives". Each Adventure dive is also the first dive of the corresponding specialty. To gain the Advanced Open Water certification, a dive must complete the Underwater Navigation & Deep Adventure dives, plus any 3 others. The focus of the other 3 dives will depend on the trip you join, but may include a Night Dive, a Peak Performance Buoyancy Dive, a Search and Recovery Dive, a Drift Dive, a Fish Identification or Underwater Naturalist Dive.

Specialty Certifications While on a Scuba Schools Trip (Complete your studies at home, then expand your dive skills and knowledge by joining one of our professional instructors for the Specialty training dives on a Scuba Schools Dive Travel Adventure) Already certified? Want to gain knowledge and dive skills through Specialty Diver certifications? Divers joining any of our scheduled trips will have the opportunity to complete Specialty classes during the trip at a discount - Specialties available on any particular trip will vary but often include local Fish Identification, Deep Diving, Drift Diving, Boat Diving etc...
